well it's been a coupla weeks since i've last updated - mainly because 1- we lost power in half the house... and 2- the 'rents were on va-cay so i stayed w/ my bro in oak brook for a week. it was cool... had crazy cable!
anywho... so it was my bestest's 20th b-day on tuesday... and i felt bad cuz i didn't have time to visit cuz i was so busy w/ school during the week, so we decided we were gona celebrate friday w/ some partying and a sleep over... i brought her pink roses, the "moistest cake you've ever tasted" - and even though it said it on the cover of the box...it was true! and also took her out to dinner...then on the way back from dinner we decided to just throw a party at the apt instead. yeah... it was a blast... a few more than expected ended up coming but it was cool...however, lets just say waking up wasn't as fun...
then sat morning i had to wake up early to pick up my dad, uncle, and aunt from the airport... and then my uncle came over and helped restore our electricity - which is why i am now online and updating!
so this is a start of a very long week for me! i have my orgo final tomorrow - which i will be cramming for as soon as i'm done doing this... then tuesday i have my comm final... which i'll be reading 8 chapters for tomorrow... and then wednesday i havemy physics final which i will be studying for after my comm final... so basically i can't wait til after wedesnday!!
on a last note... oh muj! haha that crazy muj-a-hid...

lets see what's been goin' on the past week... finally got to see the bestest! first time in almost 2 months maybe! it was good times at water tower though it only lasted a few sweet hours....
yesterday was my 6 month w/ paul (even though it seems like 9! wink wink) ... we just ended up goin' to china town - his first time there! so to be safe.. i took him to joy yees... then we visited my cuz at his condo for a bit, b4 hot tubbin' and chillaxin' the night away...
as for today.... lets just say i hate mondays... got my orgo test back.. sooooo pissed cuz i studied my ass off for it!! also, made a lil phone call to mr tutor man for physics... have my first session w/ him manana.... 30 freakin' dollars an hour! you betcha bottom dollar i'm gonna get my money's worth! then after that i'm gonna have some girl time w/ christine on our lunch date... haven't gossiped w/ her in months!
next on my agenda... hangin' out w/ the best <<muj-a-hid>> - and meetin' his new chica... the plan so far is coffee tomorrow evening...
sadly to say... it's that time of the month again... yup.. you guessed it... i have to work sometime this week! hopefully i'll get a 4 or 5 hour shift wednesday or thursday... but other than that.. i just have to schedule meetings w/ professors and advisors... start my final speech... and freakin' start studying for finals cuz i have to do good on them now! i hate school! it's yucky.. and i just wish it'd go far, far away...
until then... can't wait til turkey day!! lots-o-food!! mmmmm....

so this past week has been pretty busy... two quizzes, a speech and a test. slept over at my bro's place in oak brook monday night, when the 'rents were outta town... ugh... i dun even wanna remember what happened tuesday morning. and to top off my crappy week, i got another parking ticket! and i just sent the check for my last ticket last week too... if only i had waited...then i could have just written on check and used one envelope and save a whopping 37 cents.
paul came home friday... and we drove up to niu together for the tke semiformal... it was a blast.. even though i was never big on country... i think it's growing me - well maybe...
anywho... so today, my bro gave my mom the tv he was supposed to give to me 4 months ago! i'm all excited... then... i ask my mom if she needs help carrying it in, cuz i was under the impression it was a 25 inch screen... but nope... it turned out to be a dinky 12 incher!! w/ a video tape player that doesn't work... and no antenna! so pretty much, 4 months ago, i traded my 27 inch tv for a 12 inch! well i guess it's better than nothing... i guess the cheesecake my bro also packed home for me is supposed to make it up.
so pretty much, i'll be studying for orgo all week cuz i have a test on thursday that i need to do good on... so that's gonna suck... at least i'm only 3 chapters behind this time (out of 4). so i gues there will be some serious study time at barnes for me this week, and i'm even thinking of gettin' caffienated again.... it's been bout 2 months since my last sip. after this test i don't think i have anythign big due for at least two weeks... so it'll be my first time in like forever i can chillax a bit. i've been so busy w/ pcats, school, work, and what not that i haven't even seen my bestest and best in about 2 months!! but it's not only my schedule that's the prob, they've been pretty busy as well. hopefully that'll change after my test thursday. dina and i have even already made plans to meet up for dinner downtown...and i'm gonna take the cta to meet her up...all by myself! i'm so excited... i've never been on a cta alone b4... i'm more concerned about my ride back though... cuz it's gonna be dark..and i'll have to walk from the station to my car.

WOWzers! it's been a while since i've last updated. so much has been going on - but if you've talked to me in the last week or so.. then you're prolly all up to date... it's been crazy busy though. pcats were soooo frickin hard!!!! nothing - litereally - nothing like the old practice tests... cuz they changed like half of it! anywho... i get my results back in bout a month.. so until then.. i really don't feel like discussing it anymore. on the bright side, my babe came home over the weekend, and though we didn't get to spend much time together cuz i was busy cramming, we still had a great time together.
other than that... i had two quizzes monday, which both totally sucked. and i have my second physics test next thursday - where i will be making my big comeback! and also i have a speech due next thursday - which i intend to get started on soon. i'm hoping to pull some hours at the 'ol pharm either tomorrow or thursday this week... cuz i think it's been a few weeks since i've last worked.

lets see... what's been up with me...
my bedset and matress came in during the week.. but the bed isn't in the fram yet, cuz i still need to get a box set. hopefully i'll be gettin' that today or tomorrow. you'd think 2 dressers instead of one would be enough to fit all my clothes... but nope... i still need to pick out a comforter bed set still...
i saw Super Size Me on friday. i thought it was pretty good, even though i don't think i'll be eating mcdonalds or fast foods for a while. yesterday i went up to niu to visit paul. he took me out to ruby tuesdays for some grub, and then we had another fooseball tourney (best out of three). once again, i kicked some booty - although all three games were very close. then it was time for bowling... w/ special appearances by matt and morrine. and for not bowlign in over six months, i did quite well - 115 and 117. since i won the second game, paul had to wash my car. so that was fun.
so some schools are on "fall break" now...what'sup w/ that, right? uic peeps don't get one. anywho... since dina is on brea for the next coupla days.. maybe i'll actually get to see her! i haven't seen that girl in weeks!
anywho... my next two weeks is pretty much gonna suck. i gotta seriously start reviewing for the pcats. and i'm goin' to start after tuesday. i have a whole "hard core pcat studying plan" which will pretty much consist of me sittin' at barnes for the next two weeks hyped up on caffiene, oh, and weekends included.
as for right meow... i have to study for my orgo quiz tomorrow and work on my physics homework... this is so not goin' to be a fun day for me...

why is it that it that weekends go by so fast... while the weekdays are never ending? after my long week last week... i deserved some r 'n this weekend, which for the most part i got. friday, i was goin' to have dinner w/ my mommy, but instead we went furniture shopping cuz she was sick of looking at my empty room. and after 2+ months w/o any furnishings in my room... come wednesday... i'll finally have a bed to sleep on... and dressers to put my close in (so i dont' have to keep living out of luggages) and the best part is, i got two dressers this time! so i'll actualy have a place for all my clothes... and i got queen size bed too.. i can't wait for everythign to come in.. all i need now is a comfy matress- which my bro is gonna take care of... and some pillows, blankets and sheets, which i'll prolly get sometime this week. so that was a pretty relaxing night... just chilled w/ moms.
saturday... i went to niu to see paul... tailgated for the first time, but we didnt' end up goin' to the game, which worked out good anywyas, since most people ended up leaving the game early cuz niu was kickin' butt. i took to paul to panera - i can't believe he's never been there before - ever! and as a souvineir... he took a soup bowl back w/ him. and then after that we pretty much just chilled and hungout - oh and after much controversy of our last fooseball game... we decided to have a rematch - best out of 3... even though i lost the first game 10-9.. i came back and won in round two... then for the last game... it was just one ball...one goal... winner takes all (all of what? who knows?).. and as if there was ever a doubt... yours truly won - go me! :) anywho then at night we went to his frat's "mardi gras" themed party. though i only stayed for an hour or so... i wasnt too worried cuz it was practically all guys when i left... even though the girls prolly came later. all in all that was prolly the most relaxing day i've had in a long time.. it was pretty sad driving home.. and then waking up to reality and actually having to do homework and shit today. i still have to try to figure out what's goin' on in physics... i was at barnes in oak brook for a few hours reading physics and got maybe 3 homeowrk probs done... i'm gonna look into gettin' a tutor this week. this week is gonna be pretty busy w/ catching up in my classes...reviewing for pcats (yikes!)... moving stuff into my room... and working - yup... i said working. greektown 5-10... oh well... at least the week wil go by faster if i keep myself busy.

it's been a few days since i've last updated, but lots of exciting things have happened. let's start with wednesday. i had work from 5-10 at greektown. i arrived a few mins early and decided to just hang and stall in the back office for a while. so i'm standing there...chattin' w/ the managers and looking at the security cameras... then all of a sudden this guy comes in and says "david schwimmer is here" - yes...as in ross from friends! so naturally, i volunteer to run out and stalk him.. so we can locate him on the security tape. he was in the back wall... wearing faded jeans, a charcole fitted t-shirt, and a dark baseball cap... he had a lil beard going. he prolly picked up some shaving cream and razors while he was there. anywho.. so turns out... he comes in there every 3-4 weeks cuz he lives in the area. and no.. i didn't get to talk to him or get an autograph... cuz store policy says we can't ask for an autograph or bother famous peeps... or else they won't come back... oh well.. at least i got some nice stalking time in b4 i atcually had to go work in the pharm.
then friday... we had my cuz's rehearsal dinner at some chinese restaurant in hoffman estates. it took me and my dad 2 hours to get there cuz traffic was a bitch! anywho.. the food was good, and it was fun times by all. my uncle from france flew in, along w/ my second cuz from cali, and cuz from oregon, also some relatives from canada drove in.
then saturday was the big day.. unfortunately.. my mom came hoem late from work.. so we missed the wedding. it was at the hyatt in schaumburg. we got there right when it ended. so pretty much we had cocktails for bout an hour or so. i left my id at home... but turns out they weren't really checking...but of course my bro was makign sure i wasn't at the open bar.. so luckily i had my cuzes gettin' drinks for me all night. the food there was very yummy!! the music was aiight... i got to see a bunch of walgreens peeps i used to work with.. and also i talked to the dean of midwestern. she seemed very nice. and she said if i have any questions about admissions or need help with anything... to just give her a call. so all in all... the wedding was sooo much fun. plus.. i got like 50 compliments on my dress - so that always makes my night even better.
so now.. i guess it's the moment i've been procrastinating all weekend... doing my speech!!

so yesterday... i go to orgo discussion, and there was some time before class started. i'm sittin' there all bored.. then i noticed the guy sittin' next to me was writin' in his planner the things he had to do this week... so i decide to glance over and see what he's up to the rest of the week... under monday.. it said "orgo quiz" ... yeah.. as in that day. so i'm scrambling to look over notes quickly... then the ta walks in and tells us the quiz is reshed cuz of the poweroutage we had last week - i was soooo relieved.. but then he says our orgo test next week (at 8am)is still on. so i'm thinking... it's gonna suck big time since i have a speech for comm next tuesday and a test thursday already. two tests thursday... i figure i'd somehow be able to pull it off. so then today during physics... the prof starts telling stuff we need to know for the test next thursday - as in the same day of my orgo and comm tests - which are back to back by the way. so i decided i was gonna be responsible and start studying early for once and go to barnes after dinner. to procrastinate studying right away, i decided to write up a sched of studying and homework and such. so pretty much... it's gonna suck for me from now til next thursday. i just have so much going on... work... rehearsal dinner... wedding... fam party (which i prolly won't be goin' to). for once i'm trying to find time to study and want to study, but there's no time... which remind me of the saved by the bell episode where jesse had a breakdown cuz she was goin' crazy having to study for geometry and sing - "I'm so excited..." ... but yeah... it was craziness... and hopefully that won't happen to me. by the way... this also means i'm not gonna have any time for pcat studying w/ my bro this weekend... i dun think the 'rents are gonna be so happy about that... oh well...
anywho.. enough of school...
dina came to uic yesterday... it's prolly her 3rd time maybe? and i don't blame her for not comin' much.. loyola is so much nicer anyways... so was just me and her and we decided to try some restaurants at uic. we ended up goin' to yummy thai.. located on taylor (just past the ghetto) and it was quite delich.. but it coudl have also been cuz we were both really hungry at the time and it's been a while since we've pad thai-ed. afterwards.. we stopped by coldstone creamery on the way to my cuz's condo at university villiage (he's away on business). yeah.. fun times at coldstone.. not to mention the ymmiest ice cream ever!! then we chilled at my cuz's condo for a bit.. omg.. let me tell you... the view from the balcony is gorgeous! and even more so cuz it was at night and you could see all the city lights... and even the sears tower. we took a few pics w/ my phone. then we pretty much called ti an early night cuz i had an 8am class the next day and she had alot of homework to do.. but all in all.. it was a alot of fun... we really needed to get all caught up - especially since we didn't gt to talk at all over the weekend.. so you can imagine how much gossip we had goin' on! alrighty.. since i've pretty much given up on studying for the night.. i might as well go to bed cuz tomorrow's gonna be a long ass day!

so today was a big day... i got rid of all my like 30 viruses on my computy... so everything is working almost normal again. let's see... this weekend was pretty fun... went to niu friday - good times as usual...came back saturday morning...tired as hell - slept most of the day.. and attempted to study some physics and start homework - didn't go to well... so back to sleep i went. today, my bro came home and i went w/ him and my dad to visit my grandpa at st francis hospital in evenston. my granpa had gone in for a checkup friday and the docs said his heart beat was slow and he was in serious danger of having a stroke anyday now. so sat he had a pacemaker put in. this is prolly the first time anything serious has happened to anyoen in my family...so it really made me think... especially cuz it was my grandpa laying there in the hospital bed. i guess i never though of how old he was getting. made me a lil scared. but i shouldn't be thinking of that right now. he's doing well and seemed very happy today. he'll be free to go home tomorrow. which is good cuz he needs a lot of rest - especially w/ the big weekend coming up. it's my cousin daiana's wedding. and it's gonna be so much fun. my uncle from france is flying in... and some relatives from california are flyin' n too. i'm totally psyched cuz my mommy just bought me a new dress - she didnt' think the little black dress i bought was dressy enough - but oh well.. at leats i still ger to keep it. anywho... so this dress is gorgeous! it's a light gold/ champaign-ish color... w/ some diamonds here and there... and yeha...it's just hard to explain.. i'll just put up pics later - which i've been tryin' to figure out how to do.
lets see...what else... ummm i;m registered to take the pcats in october... so for the next 3 sundays.... you'll find me studyin' w/ my bro in oak brook.. he's gonna try to helpy me cram for it... the pcats are gonna suck so bad - which is why i'm also plannign on takign it in november and january too... so guess what my plans are for winter break...
and lastly... i'm prolly gonna do a few hours at greektown this week.. so come on in if you're around...

so my computy is all messed up now... it freezes like every two seconds and last night... it decided to turn itself off and i couldn't get it to turn on again this morning. luckily my dad some how got the computy back on, it's just superslow right now. i'm prolly gonna have to delete everything and reinstall everything again! that's gonna suck!
anywho... so what's been happenin' w/ me... well labor day weekend flew by super fast. paul came home...so i got to see him :). and my bro had a bbq at his new apartment in oak brook. i brought dina along and we had a blast. it's been sooo long since we've hungout just me and her. also, my cuzes were there, and my bro's midwestern friends.. so it was good times - not to mention all the delich foods!
i've decided to dedicate at least 3 hours of studying a day. so far i'm doing pretty well... i studied at barnes last night and tonight. got caught up in reading the text and recopying/making up all my notes for the ones i lost. and seriously... after all that... it feels like nothings actually gone into my head. i can tell orgo is gonna be no fun this semster. oh and physics? yeah... i've gotta find time for that somtime this weekend too.
so tomorrow's a big day for me... my cuz is gonna give me a copy of his key to his condo at university village. now i have somewhere to go during my 4 1/2 breaks and chillax... nap.... watch CABLE tv ... and study, of course....
